Lök-Batan Folklore Group

Based in Azerbaijan, the 9-piece group specializes in traditional songs from the Azerbaijani and Caucasus regions, performed on tar lute, kamancha spiked fiddle, kanun zither, garmon piano accordion, nagara double-headed drum, and a gaval, a frame drum. Vocals are provided by Zülfiya Mamedova and Sabir Abudullayev. The group has released a series of revivalist projects internationally.
