American Jazz and ballad vocalist.
Born Danny Siegel October 3, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
He began singing and playing drums by the age of eleven and being paid for it. After his voice changed he went from a high tenor to a baritone. He auditioned and made Charlie Spivak's orchestra as singer but was drafted before singing with them. After the war he was a song plugger and record promoter while still singing and playing drums.
He continued to sing at nightclubs before recording an album a piece for Pacifica, Kapp, Mode and Contact.
He didn't sing again professionally until the 1980's, recording in 1998 with the album "Johnn Holiday Sings" for Contemporary.
