Real name: Mat Watson

Originally a drummer, Watson played with Mountains In The Sky, Sophia Brous, Deborah Conway, Ella Hooper and Magic Silver White. He has created experimental drum/synth/lapsteel works as duo Fading Fires with virtuoso Chris Rainier, and performed as Taipan Tiger Girls with Ollie Olsen and Lisa MacKinney. He has moonlighted with Bronx legends E.S.G and performed in many large scale unconventional performances including Boredoms BoaDrum concerts in Australia and Japan, Hisham Bharoocha's IIII project at Sydney Opera House for the 2012 Sydney Festival and Hopscotch Music Festival in North Carolina USA, Red Bull EYE: CIRCOM at Dark Mofo. He wrote and conducted for the MESS Synthesiser Orchestra in 2021 and is currently creating new work for modular synthesiser and acoustic instruments.

Watson has released several albums of electronica under the name Other Places along with synthesiser focussed records under his own name.
