Ignacy Ulatowski

Polish-American singer, comedian, and actor (b. 1891 in Łodz, d. 1951)Trained and educated in Europe, Ulatowski immigrated to the United States in 1912. In 1918, while serving with the U.S. Army in Northern Russia, he became a naturalized United States citizen. In 1923, he settled in Hamtramck, Michigan. In the 1920s, he performed, wrote scripts, and produced stage shows in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, and elsewhere. Starting in 1930, he started to write and perform in Polish programs broadcast by stations in Detroit and Royal Oaks, Michigan.
Ulatowski recorded prolifically with Columbia, Edison, OKeh, and Victor.
