Paweł Lucewicz

Polish komposter. Paweł Lucewicz – born in 1985. Film music composer, orchestrator, conductor and a music producer. Initially, he trained as a classical pianist and percussionist. He graduated from the Faculty of Jazz and Pop Music in the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (Jazz Conducting). He made his debut at the Rondo Theater in Słupsk with a composition for the play Kolacja u Belzebuba directed by Stanisław Miedziewski.He is best known for his soundtracks to feature films: Czarny Mercedes, Disco Polo, In for a Murder, David and the Elves, and Carte Blanche, which have which have won many international awards, including: Jury Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
He holds over 50 soundtracks composed for various film genres next to his name. In 2013, he was nominated for the Best Film Music Award at the Milan International Film Festival for the soundtrack to the Piękne i bestia, directed by Liliana Komorowska. A year earlier, he was also nominated for the „BoWarto!” Award by RMF Classic for the Best Film Composer title.
In 2014, he composed and produced the song called Miasto promoting Jan Komasa’s film, Warsaw ‘44. The song was performed by Ania Iwanek and Pati Sokół, with Piotr Cugowski as the guest appearance, which stayed on the Radio Zet Hits List for 14 weeks, taking the 2nd place.
He is also the composer of music for the number of TV series, including: Minuta ciszy, Skazana („Telekamera” for the Best TV Series 2023), Pod powierzchnią, Szadź, Prokurator (Orzeł 2016 for the Best Fiction Series). He attracted much attention with his compositions for feature films in the series Prawdziwe Historie TVN – Bokser i Krzysztof.
He collaborated with singers such as Margaret, Pati Yang, Heart & Soul, Anna Karwan and others. For years, he has been invited to cooperate with the Festiwal Zaczarowanej Piosenki of the Anna Dymna Foundation. Over the years 2009-2019, he was also the music director of the Olsztyńskie Spotkania Zamkowe Festival.
In addition to his composing speciality, Lucewicz is also involved in arrangement and orchestration. He was behind orchestrating the music in films such as: Janosik - Historia prawdziwa (directed by Agnieszka Holland and Kasia Adamik), Układ zamknięty (directed by Ryszard Bugajski), Miasto ‘44 (directed by Jan Komasa) and Roraima: Climbing the Lost World (directed by Christian Lonek and Philipp Manderli).
