Band project evolved from a collaboration between The Walkabouts-frontman Chris Eckman from Seattle and Austrian electronic musician Rupert Huber, one half of electronic duo Tosca. The collaboration is based on private meetings in the early 2000's and jam sessions somewhen between 2005 and 2010. In that year, they decided to publish their collaborative work on an album and chose the band name L/O/N/G as a symbol for the time, they took for their recordings.
