Megakronkel

Members: Jan Folmer, Koos Van Der Velde, Robin Van Velzen

Megakronkel was started in 1990 by bassist Jan Folmer and guitarist Robin van Velzen from Umberto di Bosso é Compadres. Accompanied by a drum computer, the duo makes whimsical music full of playful unexpected turns. The self-titled debut album is released in 1993 by the Amsterdam label Konkurrel, which specializes in complex post-punk à la Victims Family. The arrival of drummer Koos van der Velde (including Disgrace, later replaced by Peter Veenstra) makes the live performances more dynamic. In addition to the Netherlands, Megakronkel can also be seen in Germany, France and Austria, among others. When Van Velzen meets his great love during a performance in Nuremberg and moves to Germany in 1997, it means the end of the group.
