Ross started BSR Productions after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College. His first composition, “Please Stay”, was adapted as “Slow Wine” on the Tony! Toni! Toné! "Sons of Soul" album.
Ross joined MC Hammer's Roll Wit It Entertainment, where he wrote, produced, performed and arranged selections for a stable of artists including MC Hammer and the D.R.S. hit, “Gangsta Lean”.
