Formed in 1981 as the tape-looping guitar duo of Carl Weingarten and Reed Nesbit, adding synthesist Walter Whitney while recording their first album Out-Pop Options in 1982. Nesbit was replaced by guitarist David Udell (of Wax Theatricks) and the band released their second album Any Questions? in 1984.
