Sankt Petersburg Group was formed in October 1988 in the city, which was then called Leningrad. The initiator of the creation of the group was the enterprising producer Vladimir Kiselev, who once played drums in the popular group "Zemlyane". The group’s style was chosen at that time popular glam rock (melodic rock).
