E.I.A.R. (Ente Italiano per le Audizioni Radiofoniche) was the Italian state broadcaster, established in 1927. Its orchestra, based in Turin, was founded in 1931. It morphed into the Orchestra Sinfonica Di Torino Della RAI (Turin RAI Orchestra), as the EIAR became RAI (Radio Audizioni Italiane - from 1954 Radiotelevisione Italiana), which occurred in 1944.
