Net were formed in 1995 as an experimental alter ego to the English art-pop group Curtains (3), their music a hybrid of dub, isolationist ambient and improvised playing. Their releases typically feature walls of dense brooding atmospherics balanced against lighter etherial passages, the instrumentation a blend of chunky synthetic rhythms, reactive guitars and broad electronic washes.
