The Montfort Singers

Members: John O'Reilly (2), Pat Coyne (2), Paul Baker (23), Joe Valentine (3), Jack Coyne, Don Middendorf



Founded at the St. Louis University Divinity School, this quintet of seminarians took their name from the Montfort Missionary society (an international religious congregation in the Roman Catholic Church.) During the late 1960s and into the 1970s they released a handful of singles along with four albums of ecumenically-minded, Christian folk music.

This very same group of seminarians would release the following records:
