Dead Relatives
Experimental Italian-Swiss goth band orbitant around the city of Milan (Italy).
The band was active in the 1984-1986 period with this formation:
JOKANAAN keyboards - ALEXIS guitars - HA POOK bass - DEREK FROM THE FOG voice - OBERHEIM DX drums/percussions.
In 1995 the band released a remastered cd (sort of a 'Best of') on the label L’Alternative Dramatique, titled: ''THE DEAD RELATIVES”.
Their sound is dedicated to an experimental darkwave (interesting: the industrial inserts in many tracks of the band) with a clear devotion to the Anglo-Saxon goth rock scene. Strong themes with esoteric allusions connect the band to the death rock movement also. Influences (among others): Cabaret Voltaire, The Cure, Joy Division, New Order, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death.
