Triton Warrior

Effective period / Period of releases: 1972 - 1973

Members: David Fromstein

Heavy rock band from Toronto, Canada, active in early 70s.
Tritton Warrior are the result of the merging of two rival groups of Toronto's area, The Cast (guitarist David Fromstein/bassist Alex Simon) and Mama Moose (drummer Ken Ambrose/guitarist Keith Syrett). Formed in 1972 they named after hearing about the british prog band Jade Warrior (a idea of Ken Ambrose). Following the recording of an acetate in late 1972, the group re-recorded the single with the new vocalist Joel Cohen at Sound Canada, Don Mills, Ontario, spring (probably March) 1973. The single was pressed in 200 copies at their own expense. Shorty after Tritton Warrior disbanded.
