Honored by colombian national congress and "Sayco" (Colombian society of authors and composers) for his remarkable musical work.
Began his Professional career in 1975 with Israel Romero obtaining success with "Amanecemos Parrandeando". In 1976 he joined Ismael Rudas forming the group "EL Doble Poder" obtaining immediate success with the Hit "La gota fría". Pioneer of the vallenato Vocals Duet with number one hit like "Mercedes" and "Drama Provinciano" female vocals and children vocals, One of the first vallenato singers to be succes out of Colombia pressed in another countrys like México, Venezuela and Argentina.
Honored at 32 Festival Cuna de Acordeones (Villanueva, Guajira) 2010 And Festival Distrital de acordeones (Barranquilla) 2015.
