The John Evan Band (also known as The John Evans Band, or The John Evan Blues Band, or The John Evan Smash) was an semi-amateur rhythm & blues band founded by John Evan and active from 1965 to 1967. They almost exclusively played covers of R&B standards. They had a lot of personnel changes during their 3 years activity, and gained kind of a mythical status for starting the musical career of many later Jethro Tull's members.
