Oliver Postgate
Real name: Richard Oliver Postgate

English writer and animator/puppeteer. He created popular children's television programmes; Pingwings, Pogles' Wood, Noggin the Nog, Ivor the Engine, Clangers and Bagpuss. Along with Peter Firmin, he created Smallfilms, the company which made these programmes which were first shown between the 1950s and 1980s. Father of Daniel Postgate, and grandson of George Lansbury.Born : 12 April 1925 at Hendon, England
