The original idea of this formation arose from Marià Albero, a Valencian who had published some very interesting simple but that was looking for a more collective interaction. With the perspective that gives us time we can say that this album and this training was the starting point of all the experimentation of our musical tradition and the stringed instruments with a Mediterranean base: Lutes, guitars, mandolines and others.
In La Rondalla de la Costa, Marià Albero also tried to music and publicize the work of Valencian poets. The music of La Rondalla de la Costa also includes popular songs from the Catalan Countries.
The seed that planted La Rondalla de la Costa in its day and the later ramifications that have emerged, force us to have it as a reference and guide to Laietan music.
