One of the earliest hip-hop groups to come out of Houston, Texas consisting of K-Rino, Preppy J and G.T.. The group members met at Sterling High School and formed the group around 1985-1986. Managed by Larry Vaughn (father of group member K-Rino) and Mark Gregg, Real Chill hooked up with funk/soul producer Norvell Holmes to release the single Rockin It around 1986-1987 on the local Boom-town Stars record label. The single marks one of Houston, Texas's first hip-hop records along with MacGregor Park (1985), The Cabbage Patch Dance (1987) and Car Freak.K-Rino would leave the group shortly after the record came out and launched a successful solo career for himself several years later.
