Progressive Rock group from Warsaw, Poland.
Indukti was created at the end of 1999. Its core was formed of musicians who had been part of Vain, a band which received several awards at various young talents festivals. The music that they decided to play was a cross of various musical interests of all members of the band but it was frequently compared to King Crimson, Tool and Anekdoten. From the very beginning, Indukti was an instrumental band, although they have had a period when they were searching for a vocalist. The lack of proper candidate, did not stop them from being successful.
In 2003, they received Grand Prix during the first edition of BIG STAR FESTIVAL. A year later, their debut album entitled S.U.S.A.R. (Suspected Unexpected Serious Adverse Reactions) was released which, to a large extent, was inspired by Fritz Lang’s Metropolis. During the making of the album, the band cooperated with vocalist Mariusz Duda and harpist Anna Faber.
In 2005, thanks to Laser’s Edge label, the album made its way to the shops all over the world. In the same year, the band received the journalists’ award during UNION OF ROCK festival. 2 years later, the band participated in Mexican BAJA PROG and American NEARFest festivals.
In 2009, thanks to German InsideOut Music, a second album of the group entitled “Idmen” was released. Its content is an allegory of human struggle with destiny, faith, everyday life, nature and himslef. The title of the album was taken from Homer’s Odyssey. The album is featuring singers Nils Frykdahl (Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Faun Fables, Idiot Flesh), Maciej Taff (Rootwater, Black River) i Michael Luginbuehl (Prisma) and musicians Marta Maślanka (dulcimer) and Robert Majewski (trumpet).
