The Mellow Keys, a group from New York, was led by James A. Parker, in 1956, they recorded two tracks for Gee Records: "Listen Baby" and "I'm Not A Deceiver," released in May. Despite receiving ratings of B+ and B from Cash Box on June 9, 1956, the single failed to gain traction. The Mellow Keys faded into obscurity after this sole release, never recording again.
