The late Terry Stanton was the lead singer of the Los Angeles-based party band, The Polyester Players, and was known for his nickname, "Pretty Terry". Terry has worked with Stevie Wonder, Teena Marie, Vesta Williams, Marva King, The Polyester Players and others who heralded in a musical jubilee at the Henry Ford Music Box Theatre in Hollywood on Good Friday, April 14th. The common sentiment from all was that Terry was a joyous person, loved life and had a childish inner nature that brought out the fun loving child in others. In spite of the down pouring rain, the tribute at The Music Box had an impressive attendance and the performers sang their hearts out to Terry Stanton. Other celebrities in the house included actress/singer Brandy (2), comedian Michael Colyar, actress Monica Calhoun, actor Reggie Dorsey and photojournalist Vinni Ratcliff. Terry's favorite song was "Heaven Must Be Like This" by the Ohio Players.
