Joseph A. Ae‘a
Real name: Joseph Kapeau Ae‘a
Hawaiian member of the Royal Hawaiian Band and songwriter, most notably of "Hilo March", which he composed in the summer of 1881, on the eve of the band's departure to Hilo. The original title was "Ke 'Ala Tuberose" and was set to a slower tempo. Henry Berger arranged it as a march for the Royal Hawaiian Band. Ae‘a was an agent for Queen Liliuʻokalani, Hawaii's last monarch.Born in 1846
