Amador Pérez Torres "Dimas" was a Mexican musician, born in Zaáchila, Oaxaca on 15 April 1902, and died in Mexico City on 30 January 1976. His parents were Gildardo Pérez and Macrina Torres. Among his most outstanding works is the danzón "Nereidas", whose name immediately evokes the cadencioso, tropical and sensual rhythm of "danzón".
