Paulo Alencar

Brazilian-American violinist and bandleader.
Born Isaac Feldman, April 19, 1913, in Rio de Janeiro, he lived in New York for many years (studied classical music at Julliard). In 1959 was hired as promotion manager at Musidisc International Inc., where profited from his knowledge of English and Portugese to translate and adapt album liner notes for the American market. He acquired his translating ability during years of association with Paramount Newsreels, on which his voice was used for Brazilian newsreel releases.
