Real name: Ondina Maria Farias Veloso

Dina (18 June 1956 – 12 April 2019) was a Portuguese singer, best known for her participation in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest.

Dina is the stage name for singer-songwriter Ondina Veloso who was born in Carregal do Sal (near Viseu) on June 18, 1956. In 1975 she was a member of Quinteto Angola and two years later, in 1977, published her first release, which was an EP containing a song from Tino Flores "Viva a Liberdade" . She adopted the stage name 'Dina' in 1980, at her 1st entry in Festival RTP da Canção with "Guardado em mim". Then she recorded another successful single, "Há sempre música entre nós", and the album "Dinamite". In 1992, Dina represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, for which she chose that same year's winner song of the Festival RTP da Canção, "Amor d'água fresca".
