Per his Spotify bio, Bizzle was using the name "Playboy" while trying to make a breakthrough as a mainstream rapper in Los Angeles. As Playboy, he released several recordings between 2004-2008 (L.A.V. Mixtapes Volumes 1–5 in Southern California, "Dirty West Mixtape Volume 1" and "Dirty West Mixtape 2", both with J. Sin on 360 Records of Houston, Texas, and "Certified Mixtape" in California. His only official album as Playboy, "Grind Pays", was released via MySpace.)

Bizzle underwent a spiritual conversion in 2008 prompting a change of name and subject matter.
