Do not confuse with Gary Lane (2) bass player from Standells

Gary Lane was a lead vocalist who sang for The Darnells (2) a group which began in Milwaukee Wisconsin as Denny & the Darnells circa 1959. Not the girl group The Darnells on Gordy label. In 1962 they released a version of Gene Vincent's (She, She) Little Shelia as the flip side to their single Besame' Mucho, on Sara records.
