Oum Shatt is an independent pop band from Berlin, founded in 2013 by Jonas Poppe. They became known for their unique style, which combines minimalist, psychedelically-influenced rock and new wave with non-Western, particularly Arabic, harmonic structures.
Its (ex-)members have long been protagonists of the Berlin underground music scene and have been active in various musical formations.
