Denovo joined in Catania (Sicilia) in the early 80's. Together with Litfiba and CCCP - Fedeli Alla Linea were one of the most influential band of the "New Wave Italiana" (in Franco Battiato's words) scene.
Both Luca Madonia and Mario Venuti started their solo careers in the 90's. During the reunion of the band, in june 1997, a live album was recorded, then released in 2004 with a book about Denovo and more.
