Mehmet Koç, poet ,singer and writer of Alevi tradition musician, born in Gürün, Turkey. He is living in Paris since 1982, where he prepared a doctorate of Turkish popular music at the University of Paris VIII. He is also a baglama (saz) player. 1985, Tülây German sings, plays piano and percussions with him on "La Turquie de Mehmet Koç, Chants et Danses".
