The Collegians

Members: Bob Causer, Roy Johnston, Spiegle Willcox, Charlie Dean, Jimmy Lynch (4), Red Ewald, Stub Washburn, Freddie Bellinger

Originally founded as Bob Causer's Big Four (although soon an octet), this group recorded under the name "The Collegians" half a dozen sides for Victor between September 1922 and June 1923; only three of these were released.

Members were Roy Johnston (trumpet); Spiegle Willcox (trombone); Stub Washburn (alto sax); Freddie Bellinger (tenor sax); Red Ewald (violin); Jimmy Lynch (piano); Charlie Dean (banjo); and Bob Causer (drums, leader).
