Belantara is a group of rock band active in Malaysia at the end of the 80s. The group performed songs Malay .

The band was founded by two students from Washington State University (Zaid, Shukri), and a student of the University of Idaho, Moscow (Aziz). They wrote their own songs and sent the demo recordings containing 5 songs to Polygram Records Malaysia. As a result, Polygram Records who saw the potential of the group has offered the a recording contract.

Belantara produced 3 albums, "Belantara" (1987), "Srikandi Di Sisi" (1988), and "Infiniti" (1990). The band is more popular with university students at that time.
