Andre Martins

Real name: André Martins

Post-Doc researcher, in the process of approving a research grant, ECA, USP, 2023.

Guest researcher with institutional affiliation to UNICAMP - 2021-2023, in the area of Music Improvisation.

Music theory and instrument teacher 2000 - present; co-owner of Gig Música Profissional (2002-2009); music editor of Cover Guitarra magazine (2002-2006), monthly columnist for Guitar Player Brasil (2010 - 2016), coordinator of the teaching methods collection "Toque de Mestre" (2006-2010). He works as an instructor in the guitar and instrumental guitar area, with private and personalised online classes.

Guest lecturer: FASM, 2018-present; Guest lecturer at Souza Lima College of Music, 2022.

Guest lecturer for the Post-graduation department at FASM for the disciplines "Improvisation Laboratory" and "Organology - Acoustic, Electric and Digital Instruments“, as well as orientation in dissertations and final research papers; Guest lecturer at Souza Lima College of Music.

Instrumental Albums: 2002, 2009, 2014, 2020, 2023:
Composer and arranger of three instrumental albums: "Infinito" (2002), "Argila" (2009) and "Harlem" (2014), with his own compositions and several experiments in timbre and sound. In September/2020 was released the fourth album, "Binaural", recorded jointly with KLO (Kopenhagen Laptop Orchestra), from Denmark and the audio engineer Paulo Assis, from AudioClicks studio. "LIVRE", recorded live with saxophone player Manu Falleiros, released by TRATORE, 2023.

Creation and recording of soundtracks for advertising, 1996 - 2016
Has knowledge in the creation and developments of advertising tracks, recording and recording voiceover, audio and sound signatures for various brands and advertising agencies.

Lectures, masterclass and clinics of musical improvisation + technology 2008 - current
Works as a lecturer, consultant and teacher, in several levels, among them: musical workshops, clinics on specific subjects (improvisation, digital technology, free software, etc.): SESC/SP, EMT, Souza Lima, Unicamp, USP, UFRGS, FASM, Expomusic, Music Show Expo, NAMM, etc.

"New Sound Frontiers" 2010 - 2017 -- Monthly contributor to the Brazilian edition of Guitar Player magazine, with the column "New Sound Frontiers", where he demonstrates the development of new digital technologies in relation to music and the electric guitar, through the use of software, APPs, etc.
