Real name: José Eduardo Murillo Mendisabal

José Eduardo Murillo Mendisabal was born on May 4th, 1947, in Potosí. He is mostly known by the name of Pepe Murillo, is a Bolivian singer and TV presenter of folk music. Between the 60s and the 80s he was part of the group Los Caminantes along with Carlos Palenque playing the charango and Percy Bellido. Years after he would leave the group to start a solo career, composing with traditional instruments like the charango, the zampoña, the piano or strings instruments.
