Danish actress with international silent movie career (1907-1951). Debut as actress in "Casanova" (France, 1927), major break through in "Heut' spielt der Strauss" (Conrad Wienes, 1928). Between 1928 and 1931 she had major roles in German and Austrian films. Great language skills made it possible for her to adapt to sound-on-film. Though Danish her roles in Denmark were minor until the 1941 film "Alle går rundt og forelsker sig" which though due to succés in Sweden lead to a contract there as well for her last lead role 1943 in "En melodi om våren" ("Hjertets Refrain"). Died in 1951 from cardiac arrest following kidney surgery.
