Bill Lowery

Real name: Billy Howard Lowery Sr.

Bluegrass mandolinist and vocalist. Has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry as guest of his friends Sam & Kirk McGee. From 1970 to 1974, he won several Mandolin championships at the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers’ Association convention, in the Sequatchie Valley, the Upper Cumberlands and the Renfro Valley. He moved to Chattanooga in 1949 and has lived in Rossville, GA from 1957 until his death.
