It was a sextet of Cuban popular music, dedicated to dance genres, participating in radio and television programs, as well as recordings and numerous performances throughout the island. Also they accompanied vocalistas like: Miguelito Valdés, Dámaso Pérez Prado and Daniel Santos.
The traditional music group was founded in 1924, in the 'Cayo Hueso' neighborhood in Havana, with the sextet format. The singer Domingo Vargas was the first director and in the decade of 1930 he counted among the singers with Miguelito Valdés.
