Studio Rio is a project from the Grammy-winning German production team of siblings Frank & Christian Berman, aka the Berman Brothers.
In July of 2014, they issued Studio Rio Presents: The Brazil Connection. The album, mixed by the multi-Grammy-winning engineer Jerry Boys, utilized original multi-track masters and state-of-the-art separation technology to extract classic vocal and instrumental performances by artists such Bill Withers, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Dave Brubeck, Mel Tormé, Sly & the Family Stone, and more.
The Bermans then melded them with new studio backing tracks from an all-star cast of Brazilian musicians including Roberto Menescal and Marcos Valle. The Isley Brothers selection, "It's Your Thing," was included on One Love, One Rhythm: The 2014 FIFA World Cup Official Album.
