Austrian multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, conductor, bandleader and singer (* 12 July 1923 in Vienna, Austria; † 27 October 2008 in Vienna, Austria).
Husband of the Greek-Austrian singer Nina Konsta. First violinist of the Wiener Tanzorchester; Halletz also composed and arranged music for this ensemble. In 1950, he took over the baton of the orchestra and led it for tours and recording sessions with artists such as Zarah Leander and Udo Jürgens. In 1963, Halletz composed, arranged, and conducted Austria's Eurovision Song Contest entry 'Vielleicht geschieht ein Wunder' for Carmela Corren.. From 1961 to 2002, Halletz worked and lived in Monaco, being the principal arranger and conductor of the Monte Carlo Light Symphony Orchestra.
