Pop-rock band from Nuuk, Greenland.
Nanook had their debut appearance in 2008 and Debut album ”Seqinitta Qinngorpaatit” ("Our sun is shining on you”) released 2009.
Since then the band has become one of the music successful band singing in Inuit language. Nearly all their albums has sold GOLD in Greenland and in both 2010 & 2014 Nanook won "Best Album" price at the annual Greenland Music Awards. In 2017 Nanook was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize.
The band regularly tours Noth America, Scandinavia and Japan.
