Members: Brandon Smith (8), Matt Auxier, Matthew McKernan

The roots of The Pretty Weapons start with Matt Auxier and the Ohio hardcore punk band Eyes Upon Separation. He and Corey Darst met as live members of the "Metalcore" band Zao circa 2000, splitting-off and forming The Pretty Weapons sometime after 2001. They recorded two albums during their lifetime, with Brandon Smith and Matt Auxier going on to EYE. Their style bridged Stoner through to Prog Rock, both retro and modern.
