Lenore Somerset born Lenore Miller was a country and folk music singer, guitarist and actress from Queensland. When she was in her early teens she made her first recordings which were duets with her uncle, Buddy Williams. She was known as the "Yodelling Jillaroo" for some time. After she was married she performed as Lenore Miller Somerset and as Lenore Somerset performing mainly folk and country material. She moved to Melbourne in the late '50s and was 'discovered' by her next-door neighbour who heard her singing over the fence. He got her some work singing on television and soon she was playing regular shows around town.. She later moved into acting and appeared on Australian television
