Heavy metal band from San José, Costa Rica.
Formed in 1985 by Jorge Molina (guitar, vocals), Francisco Pujol (bass/vocals) and Francisco Paz (drums) upon the breakup of the pop-punk band Ciclos D.
Acero was the first band in Costa Rica to play heavy metal exhibiting a sound rooted in the traditional stylings of bands such as AC/DC and Black Sabbath.
The band split up in 1991, then was reformed in 1996.
