Sibyl (sometimes written as Sybil or Sibil) Sanderson Fagan was an American whistler who started to record in 1917 until the end of her career as a whistler in 1924.
She was one of the main figures in the trend of imitating whistling birds in the 1910's and 1920's. Later she worked as a professional pianist, accompanist, and piano teacher affiliated with the Chapek School of Music in Chicago, IL, founded by her husband, Joseph Chapek.
She must not be confounded with Sibyl Sanderson (1864-1903), an American operatic soprano.
