Real name: Samuel Holland Rous

Effective period / Period of releases: 1906 - 1913

(1864 - 1947) Alias for "Samuel Holland Rous" popularly known as "S. H. Dudley". Baritone vocalist and pioneer recording artist who recorded prolifically for E. Berliner's Gramophone, Edison Records and Victor in the 1890s and early 1900s. Although he ceased recording regularly in 1903 to take on responsibilities as Assistant Manager of Artists and Repertoire Department at Victor, he did continue to contribute to recording sessions for many years.
