Jeff Nelson

Jeff Nelson is the co-founder and co-owner of the Washington, DC-based Dischord Records. Between 1980 and 1992, he drummed for a number of bands, including the Teen Idles, Minor Threat, 3, and The High-Back Chairs. In 1992, he left the High-Back Chairs and decided to retire from performing. In that time, he concentrated on Dischord as well as a smaller label he started called Adult Swim Records. In 2003, Jeff left Washington, DC for Toledo, Ohio, although he still retains his stake in Dischord. In recent years, he returned to performing, playing drums for Fast Piece of Furniture.
