Stryder is a five piece band originally from Pretoria (South Africa). The band was formed in early 1990 from the remnants of Aragorn, and their name derives from the famous book written by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord Of The Rings.

Stryder is a power metal band whose influences are mixed, but remain deeply rooted in metal. Stryder has an uncanny ability to produce their own form of metal. It is melodic, powerful and energetic, but has the ability to be accessible.

Their stage presence is dynamic and their stories current and realistic.

They are a band that will not compromise themselves and are professional and definitely very powerful.
