New York group the Founders had a couple of 45s out but despite their quality sadly they never broke through. Their first release was probably the Triode 45 which had the fine mid paced Listen What Did We Do Wrong as the flip. At the time of this single the group was a “family affair” trio with lead duties shared by the emotive Cheavoria Edwards and one of FD Edwards or Leroy (“Roy) Edwards. By the time the rare Bolivia single appeared, FD had departed being replaced by Pete Pizarr Jr, and on the superb deep soul ballad Listen Don’t You Leave Me Baby they sound even more effective.
